Adele Olivia greeted us a 1:00 am this morning! She weighed in at whopping 8 pounds, 2 ounces, and was 21 1/4 inches long. Everyone is doing great!
We are so excited! Can’t wait to meet Adele!

We returned late on June 27th after spending a week vacationing in Estes Park, Grand Lake, Vail and Colorado Springs, Colorado! The weather was absolutely amazing and so was the beautiful mountain scenery at Rocky Mountain National Park. The foods and brews were darn good, too! We saw a ton of wildlife and enjoyed the cool mountain air to the max. In the mountains it would get down to about 50 degrees at night and then get into the high 70’s in the afternoon.
We spent most of our time in Estes Park, where we hiked several trails at Rocky Mountain NP. We also managed to get in a 29 mile bike ride from the top of the mountains down to the town of Estes. The best part was that we only had to pedal about four miles! The vacation from “real life” and the 100 degree Texas weather was awesome, but obviously too short now that we are back to sweating our brains out. Already thinking about heading back!
Here are some photos from the lease that I downloaded on April 9, 2011. There is one buck in these photos that looks older that has lost his horns. This past weekend was Jennifer’s baby shower. Everyone did their best to help the expecting parents prepare for the arrival their son, Caleb! Margaret made a diaper cake that, admittedly, was pretty cute. There was also some good food on hand for the occasion with pulled-pork mini-sandwiches, hand-crafted baby shower-applicable cupcakes, and all sorts of wonderful dips and treats.

With temperatures hovering around 20 degrees this morning and a total of two inches of snow, all schools are closed in Georgetown. Here is Margaret enjoying the fresh powder right outside the house!

Okay, so Margaret and Amy had been conspiring about Black Friday since last year. We had an idea of what we wanted, so Margaret had been checking the Black Friday websites all week watching for the best prices on flat screen televisions. After all the research and checking the advertisements this year’s big target was a 42″ LG LCD television that Wally World had on sale.
Margaret got up around 2:30 in the morning to head over to Wal Mart to meet up with Amy in anticipation of the 5:00 pm sale. As luck would have it, Amy had already been there since 2:00 am! They got in line, and using their girl power, managed to get 1 of the 10 LG TVs they had in stock. Merry Christmas to us!
